Closure Of St Andrews Church, Moylegrove
In his report at the combined Easter Vestry & PCC meeting on 10th
March 13, the Vicar explained that suggestions of Church closure were
a response not just to financial problems but also a much depleted congregation.
The village was no longer supportive of this Church and the situation
was untenable. In light of these comments and with the greatest reluctance
it was unanimously accepted to close the Church with immediate effect.
The Parish and graveyard are now under the care of Rev. Neil Llewlyn

PAY THEIR YEARLY QUOTA'S. UNFORTUNATELY, THIS MEANS THAT ST. NICHOLAS'S
WILL HAVE TO DO THE SAME.
(SIX SERVICES A YEAR AND A SMALL CONGREGATION ARE NOT VALID EXCUSES).
THE THREE CHURCHES ARE ALSO RESPONSIBLE FOR THE CLERICAL EXPENSES OF
OUR INCUMBENT, THE REVEREND ALED THOMAS. THIS WORKS OUT EACH MONTH TO
BOTH ST. THOMAS'S AND ST. BRYNACH CHURCHES HAVE ALREADY BEEN SHARING
THIS AMOUNT EACH MONTH. TO DATE, NOTHING HAS BEEN RECEIVED FROM ST.
NICHOLAS'S CHURCH. A PROPOSAL OF A ONE OFF PAYMENT FOR THE YEAR OF =
£100 FOR ST. NICHOLAS CHURCH.
AS ST THOMAS'S AND ST. BRYNACH CHURCHES ARE ABLE TO PAY THEIR SHARE
OF THE MINISTRY QUOTA. THIS MEANS THAT ST. NICHOLAS CHURCH WILL HAVE
TO PAY EITHER A YEARLY SUM OF £5.377.29 OR FOUR QUARTERLY PAYMENTS
BY PAYING THE YEARLY AMOUNT ST. NICHOLAS'S
CHURCH WILL THEN HAVE 15 MONTHS TO DECIDE WHAT TO DO, EITHER CLOSE OR
